Interests:
Surfing,
Tae Kwon Do, mountain biking, soccer and camping.
Career aspirations:
I
aim to be actively involved within resource management, monitoring,
research and educational roles of our coastal areas. However I wish
to take a total catchment management approach with regard to internal
waterways and land use issues that impact on marine environments.
Through this I hope to play an important role in the conservation
of our marine environments for future generations to come.
Reasons for interest in the Tropical Marine Science Program:
I
wish to gain a better understanding of the direct and indirect impacts
on our coastal areas generated from anthropogenic activities. This
program is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in
the marine environment and will provide the tools required to manage
marine resources in a sustainable manner. It will also be a great
chance to meet students from other universities and share information.
